Explore an array of beautiful artwork crafted with passion and creativity.The Market Day is a vital event for students in the LBUSD ACT \(Adult Community Transition\) Program as it provides a unique opportunity to develop essential life and vocational skills in a real-world setting. Through the creation, display, and sale of their handcrafted items, students gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, communication, and money management. This event fosters a sense of independence and accomplishment as students interact with customers, make decisions, and see the tangible results of their efforts. Additionally, Market Day encourages creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, while promoting social interaction and building confidence in a supportive environment. It’s not just a market—it’s a stepping stone for personal growth and a celebration of each student’s abilities and hard work.The Long Beach Unified School District Adult Community Transition \(ACT\) Program prepares students to move from secondary settings \(e.g., middle school/high school\) to adult-life \(18-22 years of age\), utilizing comprehensive transition planning and education that creates individualized opportunities, services, and supports to help students achieve their post-school goals in education/training, employment, and independent living.
