Join us at Rock Springs Run State Reserve for the 11th East Lake Historical Society Heritage Festival.
Learn about Lake County and Central Florida, with an emphasis on the history of Ethel Township through displays, activities, and a tram ride. Local experts and artisans will be on hand to bring history alive in this town lost to history. Enjoy Live entertainment including David Potter, food for purchase, crafts, and exhibits.
The Annual Heritage Festival, now in its 11th year, is organized by the East Lake Historical Society, the Friends of Ethel and the Wekiva Wilderness Trust. It tells the story of Ethel, which sprang up after the Civil War and disappeared almost without trace in the 1920s. Exhibitors, arts and crafters and reenactors will demonstrate what life was like back then. Visitors will enjoy live music, entertainment, children’s games and more. Festival food will also be available.
