This year marks the 17th anniversary of the Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival, one the longest running and most beloved outdoor painting events in the country. On Sunday, May 4, 32 nationally acclaimed artists will commence a multi-day painting competition drawing inspiration from the nearby quaint towns, pastoral farms, historical architecture and lush landscapes that symbolize our region. Juror Larry Moore of Charleston, South Carolina will select the top winning paintings and will present $25,000in awards at the Collectors' Preview Gala & Sale on Saturday, May 10 from 6-9pm.
